Learning at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School has been exciting and challenging.
Learning at OLSH is visible.
We are working to grow confident, self-managing, persistent and wondering learners that get along.
Learners that are curious about the world and their learning, that can ask questions, work well with others and believe in themselves.
It's been a roller coaster, trying to plan for and hold our Athletics Carnival.
Our learners have been learning new skills with Coach Beau and Jezz from Kelly Sports.
Welcoming community members as supporters was the highlight of the event.
Athletics was held on Friday, students used their skills to throw, jump and run.
Transition for 2022 has started at OLSH.
Our new learners are spending their Friday mornings exploring and learning in readiness for 2022.
They went for a hunt around the school, scanning QR codes looking for the Green Sheep, which gave them the opportunity to explore the spaces in our school.
We are busy planning for our end-of-year events and are hoping to bring our community together to celebrate the school year and all that we have achieved together.
We will farewell our Grade 6 learners as they continue their journey to secondary school and welcome our new learners and their families.
As we work towards finishing another school year, it is time to thank all of our supporters; parents, extended family, community organisations and friends of OLSH for your co-operation and interest in our school.
On a personal note, as I farewell the OLSH community, I have been reflecting on the moments that I have had the privilege of sharing with families past and present.
I am grateful to all that have allowed me to be a part of their celebrations and challenges.
OLSH is ‘better together’ and will continue to grow and flourish under the leadership of Craig Simpson.
I am looking forward to a new journey with families and learners at St Joseph’s Rochester and look forward to connecting in other ways in our community.
From the Heart,
Liz Trewick
