Deb Quinn

Deb spent her early years in Bulleen then moved to Shepparton in 1970 when her family built the Big Valley Motel. Deb’s mum Lorna was a great cook, perhaps best known from Maisie’s restaurant in Maude Street, and still celebrated with “Lorna’s long lunch”, where family and friends gather and cook their favourite recipe from Lorna’s repertoire. Deb has been writing this column for about a year now and loves the feedback she gets from people in the community who read and then make the recipes from the paper.
