Light plane crashes in outback Queensland

Local aircraft as well as a rescue helicopter are flying to the area to reach the stricken aircraft, which has come down in difficult terrain.

There are reports the light plane was involved in firefighting efforts in the area.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
