Molyullah Easter Sports lived up to its billing as a fantastic family day out, drawing crowds from far and wide to the quaint district for a day of wholesome entertainment.

This year's festivities featured the eagerly awaited return of the wood-chopping competition, offering a diverse range of activities that kept a large audience engaged throughout the afternoon.
Children were treated to an array of attractions, including two jumping castles, train rides, face painting, an animal nursery, and various interactive games like nail driving and the ever-popular ‘crash the rat’.
There was also a lively colouring competition judged by Jim Moll, who owns and operates graphic design business Outback Antics.
Welcoming visitors at the entrance were a pair of majestic clydesdales offering complimentary rides, while the Harry Ferguson Tractor Club of Australia and the Warby Engine Club provided glimpses into the past with their fascinating displays.
Car enthusiasts were treated to a dazzling spectacle courtesy of the Wangaratta Rod and Custom Club's Show ‘n’ Shine competition, with standout vehicles earning accolades and fuel vouchers provided by TASCO.
It also featured Sporting Horse Australia’s Horse of the Year competition, resulting in a surge of entries across various categories.
Special recognition was awarded to outstanding young riders, with the M and K Marriott Memorial Rise and Shine Award honouring exemplary participants in each age group.
In the open novelty events, competitors gave their all, vying for victory and accumulating points for the Horse of the Year standings.
Raffle winners walked away with an assortment of prizes, ranging from firewood to vouchers and hampers.
Spectators were treated to a delightful fancy dress display.
Market stalls, caricature artists, and music by 2 Easy Duo ensured there was never a dull moment.
The Molyullah Sports Committee’s dedication and hard work shone through, culminating in a memorable event.
A committee spokesperson said it would not have been possible without the support of generous sponsors.
“To them, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their invaluable contributions,” the spokesperson said.
Next year promises even more excitement, with plans under way to host the Victorian Biggest Pumpkin competition, inspiring attendees to cultivate their own giant pumpkins for the occasion.
