Grade 3/4 Camp
Our grade 3/4 campers had a wonderful three days at Billabong Ranch camp along with 50 other students from the Campaspe Cluster of small schools. The campers participated in a wide range of activities including camel riding, bungee jumping, archery, mini golf, paddleboats and a low ropes course. On day two they headed into Echuca and had a paddleboat ride and an entertaining tour around the Port of Echuca. After dinner there was a campfire and a whip-cracking demonstration. Nanneella’s own whip-cracking specialist, Cooper Jenkins, put on a demonstration for all the children of the Cluster too. It was a busy three days but the students had a great time and represented their school with a terrific 'have a go' attitude and behaviour.
Supper with the Stars.
Plans are well under way for our family night next Tuesday night, on September 3, for our ‘Supper with the Stars’. Interested members form the local community are welcome to join in the fun. The evening will begin at 6.30pm with a short presentation from members of the Bendigo Astronomy Club. From there we will move outside and we will be able to use their telescopes for viewing the planets, stars and the moon. We are asking all families to donate a plate of supper for the night. We will, however, need to keep an eye on the weather. If it is too cloudy or the weather is inclement, we will shift our night to Thursday, September 5.
