Students at Benalla P-12 College will soon undertake further study, start work or maybe take a gap year.

Following the release of ATAR results there were plenty of students with ear-to-ear smiles at the college and executive principal Kylie Cotter said she was proud of the efforts of all students this year.
The biggest celebrations came from the school’s 2024 dux Jett Buntine, runner-up dux Imogen Biddle and VCE VM student of the year Tim Matkovich-Allan.
Jett said he was nervous as he waited for results to be released.
“I got enough for my course that I wanted to go into. It was enough that I needed, so I'm really happy with that,” Jett said.
"I'm going to do a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne.“

The course will be the first step on the road to his career, which he hopes will be in a research role, or possible a teaching position.
Runner-up dux was Imogen Biddle, who said it was amazing to get the call from Ms Cotter.
“It was unbelievable,” she said.
“I never really saw myself getting runner-up dux and yeah, it was really shocking to me, but yeah, incredible.
“I did pass my own expectations a little bit, but at the same time I wasn't hugely surprised.
“I've worked really hard this year and put in a lot of effort so I'm really glad to see it paying off.”

Tim said he was really pleased to be named Benalla P-12 College’s VCE VM student of the year.
“It actually felt pretty great,” he said.
“After Ms Cotter told me I congratulated myself. I did a lot of personal development work this year.
“I really enjoyed my studies, although some bits were more interesting than others.”
Tim said despite doing well throughout the year, he was still nervous waiting for results to be released.
He is now looking to gain employment.
“I didn’t want to do any further studies, but I might go for my RSA,” he said.
When it came to offering advice to next year’s Year 12 students, all three had some good tips.
Tim said to take your time to get things right, no matter the pressure.
Imogen said it’s best to pace yourself, take care of yourself and always try your best in everything you do.
Jett said to avoid procrastination, and focus on the work.
