2014 HDFNL Grand Final at Huntly
LBU 13.9 (87) def. North Bendigo 11.10 (76)
Lockington Bamawm United were forced to do it the hard way as they came from behind to win a fourth straight premiership in 2014.
After trailing at every break, the Cats stormed home in the final term, kicking five goals to one, to write themselves into the competition’s history books.
‘‘It’s all a bit surreal at the moment to be honest,’’ LBU coach Ady Dohnt said.
‘‘It was an unbelievable effort by the boys after half-time.
‘‘We were patient with the footy and we were able to maintain our rotations, given it was a warm day that really helped us run over the top.’’
Kahl Oliver was a strong performer with four goals with co-captain Matt Bongiovanni also performing strongly.
Twelve players were involved in all four premierships.
