People from all over the country flocked to Tocumwal and the banks of the Murray River, in Yorta Yorta country, from November 15 to 17.
The festival once again proved why it is one of the country’s most beloved gatherings, offering a truly unique experience that blends cutting-edge music, art, culture, and community.
There was an eclectic mix of 84 international and local musicians, spanning genres from electronic and indie to experimental and world music.
Attendees were treated to mesmerising performances from some of the world’s most exciting and boundary-pushing artists, alongside homegrown talent.
But Strawberry Fields is more than just a festival - it’s an immersive experience.
Festival goers would also attend workshops and wellness activities, designed to enrich the mind, body, and spirit.
This year’s milestone anniversary also provided a powerful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate Australia’s rich Indigenous heritage.
The festival proudly paid tribute to the Yorta Yorta people with a range of cultural programs and experiences aimed at deepening attendees’ connection to Country and the ongoing traditions of the region’s First Nations peoples.
With 14,000 attendees converging on the town of Tocumwal, the event provided a huge boost to the local economy.
Restaurants, shops, and other businesses experienced a surge in demand, creating opportunities for local business and long-term economic growth.
Post-event, Strawberry Fields grants will be distributed to the community.
As the 15th anniversary ends and planning starts for 2025, the festival’s organisers expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the local community, attendees, and artists who helped make this milestone year an extraordinary success.
“We’re so proud to have celebrated 15 years of Strawberry Fields, and we can’t wait to come back in 2025,” director Tara Benney said.
“This year’s festival was a testament to the power of music and culture to bring people together and create lasting memories.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Yorta Yorta people, talented artists, and the town of Tocumwal for making this milestone anniversary one to remember.”
