Fresh daffodils were generously donated by local residents and raised $2585 for cancer research and support services.
Daffodil Day is a chance to make a difference by supporting the Cancer Council.
Most of us know someone who is affected by cancer. Early diagnosis, improved treatments and extended life expectancy result from ongoing cancer research.
The Winter Raffle, which was drawn on Daffodil Day last week, raised $5390. The winning tickets were drawn by Maddie Richards of Tenex Rail and Excavations, who donated the first prize $500 fuel voucher won by Helen Jennings.
Other winners were Joan Black, Mary Gray, Dianne Keating, Betty Parsons, Stephen Elliott and Karen Taylor.
The Seymour Volunteer Group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. New members are always welcome. Contact the secretary on 0457 991 970 for details.
