Mildred is a graceful and dignified feline with a gentle demeanour.
Mildred is a self-assured cat who thrives on human companionship and affection.
She can often be found smooching, head-bopping or trying to snuggle her human companions.
Mildred is also great at conversing in conversation and usually wins arguments with staff.
According to Queen's University Belfast lecturer in Animal Behaviour and Welfare Grace Carroll, originally, cats were solitary creatures, preferring to live and hunt alone rather than in groups.
“Most of their social behaviour was restricted to mother-kitten interactions,” Ms Carroll wrote in The Conversation. “Outside of this relationship, cats rarely meow at each other.
“However, as cats began to live alongside humans these vocalisations took on new meanings.”
This means that when Mildred meows at shelter staff, in many ways, she sees them as her caregivers, much like feline mothers.
Mildred prefers to be the only sophisticated feline in the house and will need a home all to herself.
If you're looking for an affectionate, smoochy and super cute kitty to add to your family, then Mildred is the one for you!
Mildred comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and flea and worm-treated from the Campaspe Animal Shelter.
