Federation Council has selected AA Roadmaint Consulting Pty Ltd to project manage and coordinate the delivery of Federation Council area’s total Flood Recovery Works Program.
The $434,170 project cost, including GST, is to include all procurement, contract and funding related processes.
AA Roadmaint was selected at council’s latest monthly meeting on October 29. Council empowered its General Manager Adrian Butler to sign a contract on its behalf with the successful tenderer.
All 14 submissions received were considered eligible for consideration.
In seeking a suitably qualified and experienced consulting firm, tenders were invited from suitably qualified and experienced consultants with the immediate capacity to provide a complete project management service.
In October 2022, Federation Council area was impacted by a significant flood event. The council has so far received approval to undertake about $8.8m of Essential Public Asset Reconstruction Works under the New South Wales Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Council’s remaining claim of about $6.5m is under review by the assessors of TfNSW.
Councils are required to complete the works as soon as possible and positively by June 30, 2025. A further report is expected at council’s November meeting.
