The only property related crime reported in Deniliquin since Thursday last week was a missing bin from a Macauley St property.
It was reported by the new tenants.
Business break-ins, thefts from cars and a series of stolen vehicles have been reported across the district over the past few weeks, including in Deniliquin, Mathoura, Moulamein and Blighty.
The Pastoral Times also believes cars have been reported stolen from Berrigan and Finley.
The Pastoral Times has only been advised of two being recovered, with one stolen from Deniliquin found alight near Berrigan last week.
A car stolen from a Macauley St home in Deniliquin was also recovered, after it was left outside Scott’s Park in Russell St on November 17, not long after being taken.
Police have charged two teenagers in relation to the Macauley St incident, alleging the keys to the car were stolen from inside the home.
Murray River Police District Acting Inspector Mitch Lalor said despite fewer incidents being recorded in the past few days, there is no time for complacency.
“Police wish to remind the public to ensure they are vigilant in securing their homes, vehicles and leaving valuables out of sight,” he said.
The only other incident in the weekend wrap from Deni Police was a fight outside a Cressy St licensed venue about 1.50am Saturday.
“Upon police arrival the involved parties had dispersed,” Act Insp Lalor said.
