Now the next generation will have the chance to experience this blockbuster from a thrilling new angle — the water.
Campaspe Shire Council’s youth hub presents Dive-In: JAWS, a unique and immersive cinema experience to be held at the Tongala Swimming Pool from 8pm, on Friday, February 24.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos said the free event for young people had been funded by the Victorian Government’s 2022 FReeZA program.
“FReeZA is an initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, alcohol and smoke-free events for other young people,” Cr Amos said.
“It’s fantastic to see innovative and fun activities developed by young people happening in our shire, as well as showcasing new and different ways to utilise our community facilities.”
This fully supervised, free event is aimed at people aged 12 to 25 years.
The film is rated M for mature audiences, and as such, parents and guardians of children aged under 15, may need to find out more about the specific content before deciding whether the material is suitable for their children to attend.
Doors will open at 8pm and the film starts at 8.30pm.
The pool will be staffed with additional lifeguards, but for those who would rather stay on solid ground, there will also be a seating area to bring along your chairs.
All FReeZA events are smoke, drug, alcohol and vape-free zones.
