As part of the Goulburn Options group’s Pop-Up Art Show at the event, an all-new Community Canvas will be launched.
The Community Canvas is a painting project that will celebrate connection, creativity and community spirit.
It invites attendees of all ages and abilities to paint a flower of their choice on the large canvas, contributing to a shared artwork.
The vision of the project is to portray the message that when people come together to create, something truly meaningful happens.
Each flower will represent a contribution from community members, forming a garden of colour and collaboration.
The background of the canvas has been designed by GO Art artists to form the base of the blossoming painting.
This initiative is part of the Quality Community Pillar of Goulburn Options’ Biggest Life Possible framework, which focuses on the formation of inclusive partnerships, strengthening community engagement and creating opportunities for people with disability to be actively involved in their local community.
It’s about making space for everyone, valuing every person and recognising the sense of belonging and pride that shared experiences can bring.
The canvas will be available in the GO Art studio at 16 Station St during the Tastes of the Goulburn event on April 26.
The final artwork will be displayed in the Goulburn Options Station St foyer as a lasting reminder of what we can create when we come together.
The GO artists invite attendees to come along, pick up a paintbrush or paint pen, and help grow a canvas full of colour, inclusiveness and community spirit.
