Nanneella Estate Primary School’s 12-strong student population took turns in sending principal Tom Mangan into a tank of water at a community fundraising event last week.
There was not exactly venom in any of the actions of the students, but they took turns in hurling a ball at a target, which triggered their school leader’s destination into the water.
It was a single dollar for three attempts and by the end of the half hour’s entertainment there was one soaked principal and plenty of coins in the school coffers.
The school, community hall committee and playgroup combined to organise the event, which included face painting, a reptile visit, snow cone, pizza and lolly stalls.
