Remembrance Day is significant for many in our community. This year, these are the locations and times for the major public ceremonies across the Moira Shire and Barooga.
Cobram
The Cobram Barooga RSL Sub-branch will be leading a service at the Cobram and District War Memorial on Punt Rd beside the Cobram Civic Centre.
The Army School of Health will be present with the catafalque party.
The Tocumwal Aviation Club will conduct a flyover during the ceremony.
Guests are invited to arrive about 10.45am for an 11am start.
Strathmerton
The Strathmerton RSL will join students and staff at Strathmerton Primary School at 10.45am, with a flyover from the Tocumwal Aviation Club.
Numurkah
The Numurkah service will begin at 10.45am at the cenotaph at the corner of Melville and Saxton Sts, Numurkah.
There will be a flyover at about 11am by pilots from Shepparton and Cobram. The cenotaph guard from Puckapunyal will be there alongside veterans.
Barooga
The Cobram Barooga RSL Sub-branch will be leading a ceremony at the front entrance of Sporties Barooga on Monday at 12.30pm.
