Over the past few months, the club's course committee has overseen major works and extensive upgrades to the course proper and clubhouse gardens waiting for restrictions to be lifted.
These included removal of 20 trees, complete fertilising prior to those great autumn rains, seed resewing of bare spots on six fairways, trimming of low hanging and dead branches, cutting the rough, practice fairway and weekly fairway maintenance, spreading and oiling new sand on all scrapes and replacing flowers and shrubs in garden beds near the clubhouse.
When the restrictions are lifted, the club is ready to comply with any rules that apply to Victorian golf clubs, including social distancing, playing numbers, access to the clubhouse and other important health and hygiene issues.
New men's white and ladies yellow short course markers are now in place ready for Wednesday or Friday events.
Golfers are requested to contact president on Ian Clark 0409 548 482 or captain Leigh Hicks on 0407 041 286 for the latest news on course-opening and competition events.
Thanks to all those volunteers who have dedicated many hours over the past few months, your unselfish work is appreciated by all, and those who haven't seen the course since last season will be amazed at the improvement.
