Santa’s Cave is set to open at the Kyabram Town Hall on Allan St on Saturday, December 14, allowing children to meet the big man himself and tell him what they want for Christmas.
The installation has been a cherished Kyabram Christmas tradition since 2015 when town hall volunteer Vanessa Cross promised children that Santa would be coming to town.
Each year since, dedicated volunteers and generous local businesses have joined forces to transform the back gallery into a breathtaking winter wonderland.
The hall features a winding tunnel — lined with toys, miniatures, snow and fairy lights to immerse children in the magical experience — all leading to Santa himself.
This year, Santa came to Kyabram early to check out the preparations before he begins his occupancy in the Town Hall.
Mr Claus said he couldn’t wait to welcome children back to Santa’s Cave and hoped children had been good this year.
Marg Smerdon, the volunteer spearheading the Santa's Cave installation, expressed her enthusiasm for another year of this cherished tradition.
She said everyone should join in and create lasting, joyful memories for the children.
Tickets for Santa’s Cave are $5 a person or $15 a family.
Santa’s Cave will be open every day from Saturday, December 14 to Sunday, December 22 from 11am to 5pm.
