The Shepparton Showgrounds drive through COVID-19 testing closed permanently close from Friday due to reduced demand for coronavirus testing.
It follows a reduction in hours which was announced two weeks ago.
The drive through testing site was first set up in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in August 2021.
Testing volumes at the site reached a peak on September 2, 2021, when over 900 PCR tests were conducted in one day.
A GV Health spokesperson thanked the Shepparton Showgrounds drive through testing site staff for their tireless efforts in setting up and operating the site and for their valuable contribution in keeping Shepparton residents safe.
Anyone requiring COVID-19 PCR testing or RAT collection should walk in to the GV Health Acute Respiratory Clinic, at Graham Street in Shepparton, which will remain open seven days a week from 8am to 4pm.
