The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo is fast approaching and there is plenty of fun to be had, lessons to learn and questions to answer.

If learning is what you love, there’s lots to enjoy at this month’s Seymour expo.
The farm lectures and Learning Hub talks are among the many ways you can make your trip entertaining and educational.
One of the attending businesses will be Australian Bee Supplies, which will discuss beekeeping for beginners and hold some demonstrations.
Australian Bee Supplies’ Andrew Stanish will go through beekeeping costs, how to obtain bees, the required equipment, the different types of frames and their advantages and disadvantages.
“We will also do some demonstrations on smoking and there will be beekeepers there to answer anyone’s questions,” he said.
The Seymour Agricultural and Pastoral Society will also be on hand during the three days to answer any questions.

If fluffy, furry friends interest you, the Mayland Poll Highland Cattle crew will be there to chat about the breed and what makes it unique, and the Eden Rise Alpaca team hopes to dispel any myths about alpacas as pets.
There is also something special for anyone keen to one day wet a line, whether they are experienced anglers or casual fishers.
The Berkley Super Tank will take visitors of all ages on an underwater journey with up to 20 live fish, including barramundi.
Part portable fishing show, part mobile fish tank and educational program, the 12,000 litre Berkley Super Tank is designed to give the public a fish-eye view of the angling world.
Seasoned angler Michael Cooke, with more than 60 years of fishing experience, will demonstrate lure and bait fishing techniques from on top of the tank, one of the biggest mobile fish tanks in the Southern Hemisphere, in the 20-minute shows.
“This is a show for the whole family, even non-fishing people, and we don’t use any hooks,” he said.
“The presentations include catch and release techniques, mastering lures and gear tips for the first timers.
“The team will also demonstrate how the many different types of fish react to different lures and techniques used by many of today’s top anglers.”
The live demonstrations are educational, exciting, entertaining and will run throughout each day of the event.
The clear Perspex sides of the tank allow a good view of how the lures work and the action in the water.
