Stop the presses, hold your horses and cancel all plans you have on Mondays and Tuesdays. Farmer Wants a Wife is almost here.
Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content
On Easter Monday at 7.30pm, reality TV fans across the nation will turn to Channel 7 to see the premiere episode of Farmer Wants a Wife season 15.
But who are the farmers? What else do we know about the new season? And what does a 21-year-old regional journalist think of all this?
That is what I’m here to discuss.
Farmer Thomas, is conventionally attractive, but will his personality match?

Farmer Thomas
From what I can see from the promos, there’s a key audience for him. Anyone looking for a man in farming, barley, 6’5, blue eyes.
He gives off textbook regional Australian guy, having a passion for AFL and being a community firefighter.
From videos already posted, he seems to have some luck in the world of love, but not before a ‘bombshell’ gets dropped on him that will hurt him more than anything else.
Farmer Jarrad. Will his ‘goofy’ side stop him from getting serious?

Farmer Jarrad
Words people have used to describe Queensland sheep farmer Jarrad have been things like ‘good-looking rooster’.
But his first red flag is his description of himself: a ‘goofy creative’. I got a shiver of ‘ew’ running down my spine just writing that out.
He claims he doesn’t want to be a bad bloke or lead a girl on, but do you know who says that? Bad blokes who lead girls on. Don’t disappoint me, Jarrad.
The nation has heard of Farmer Corey’s smile, but is it enough to find his one true love?

Farmer Corey
Okay, I hate to be a cynic so early on because he seems like a nice guy, but if I have to hear about his godforsaken smile one more time, I might lose it.
His problems are a man’s worst nightmare. An irredeemable fault. Something no-one ever wants to deal with.
Too many women want him, but only one can have him. Will he be able to chose which heart to keep, and be comfortable leaving the others broken?
Farmer Tom is my top pick, but will his soft side be his strength or will his dates be hard to please?

Farmer Tom
I am tipping Farmer Tom as my favourite at the moment. So if he turns out to be a real piece of work, don’t yell at me.
He’s a sheep farmer who just wants to find the one thing he’s been missing. A real human woman to fill his heart, but she’s got to win over his dog first.
His promos make him seem really genuine and in touch with his emotions, let’s hope that is his strength, and he continues to wear his heart on his sleeve. I’m on your side, Tom.
At the end of each week, I want to rank the farmers based on vibes, which ones I think deserve praise and which simply don’t.
It feels harsh doing it so early, but that’s not a me problem.
