Rochester Junior Football Club, Rochester Golf Club and Rochester and District Horse and Pony Club have all been given a grant of $1000 through the Government’s Community Sport Sector COVID-19 Survival Package.
“It’s great to see that many local clubs have so far applied for these grants – but I know there are more clubs across the region that can really use this support,” Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said.
“We know that sport and recreation play a big part in our physical and mental wellbeing.
“That is why we are supporting our local sporting and recreation clubs to bounce back and return to play as soon as possible.”
“Ensuring community sport and active recreation organisations survive this crisis and come back better than ever is critical to our economic and social recovery, and to our community’s physical and mental wellbeing.”
