FOOTBALL clubs across the district now have a clearer idea of how their playing lists could shape up in 2021.
AFL Goulburn Murray has finalised its player points system for each of the four competitions in its jurisdiction after it was ticked off by the working party.
Goulburn Valley and Murray league clubs will be able to field sides with a total of up to 42 points each week next year.
Meanwhile in the Kyabram District league, senior coaches will have 43 points to play with.
The Picola District league has been allocated the most points in the region with 45.
Players are given a points total of between one and six depending on the level they have played at in previous seasons.
One point is given to someone who is classified as a ‘homegrown player’ which includes those who have played all their junior football at that club.
Someone who has played an AFL game in the past three seasons is worth six points – if they have not returned to their home club.
