Qualifying rounds were played on Sunday, October 27 to determine who would be facing off in the best of 5 frame final and several close results highlighted a day of great snooker for all entrants.
Adrian played superbly to justify his top seeding whilst Heie had another great tournament in reaching his third straight decider.
Congratulations to both Adrian and Heie on their performances and continually high standard of snooker.
The Bob Organ B Grade championship qualifying rounds were contested on Monday, November 11 with semi-finals and the ultimate best of three frame playoff being completed on Tuesday 12 November.
Jack Bassett had a nail biting “black ball in the deciding frame” victory over Luca Macheda to earn his way to that match, where he took on recently joined member Craig Jordan, who won his semi-final over Nev Page by the same margin.
The final did not disappoint and resulted in another thrilling finish where Jack claimed his first title by potting the pink ball in the third and deciding frame.
Congratulations to both Jack and Craig on their performances in an event full of great matches with close finishes.
The Wednesday evening social events of October 30 saw Ashley Nicholls taking the chocolates over Jason Bassett, Darren Edwards cleaning up against Keving Young on November 6 and Michael Barclay getting over the line against Martin Dermietzel on November 13.
The snooker club will continue to stage these competitions over December and January after the 2024 season concludes at the end of November.

There are a variety of events held every Monday and Wednesday evening and there are plenty of opportunities for new players to join or come along to try the facilities out.
The snooker club have 2 excellently maintained full size tables, which have recently been re-surfaced and a new state of the art lighting system.
The snooker room is available for competition, practice and visitor use, and the club has its own regularly updated handicapping system to ensure players from beginners to advanced level can compete equally.
There are also plenty of experienced and skilled players who can help with advice and tips on how to improve your game or perhaps adapt it for those who have played pub or social pool in the past.
