Deniliquin Croquet members met for a Saturday Christmas lunch, and marked the end of the year with trophy recognition of the year's champions.

Brad Fawns had a stellar playing year, winning the Challen Cup, partnering with Mary James in the doubles championship, and producing winning pennant games.
The singles championship trophies went to John James in Division 1, Leo Barry in Division 2 and Ray Moye in Division 3.
The Badura Shield was awarded to Rex Kernich, as the most improved player throughout the year.
Andy Davis proved to be the most successful local competition player, scoring 17 three game wins for the year, just ahead of Alan Higgins.
Andy Davis also scored 70 jump shots for the year, way ahead of the opposition.
John James, Fred Littmann and Andy Davis all represented Deniliquin successfully in regional tournaments throughout the year.
Andy Davis was the winner of the Deniliquin Long Paddock Croquet Classic in August.
Sunday’s competition attracted good numbers, with Garry Brose and Brad Fawns each winning three games.
The two game achievers were Tony Bull, Rex Kernich, Fred Littmann, Alan Higgins and Andy Davis.
Fred Littmann scored two jump shots.
On Wednesday, 18 members presented for play with a trip of three game winners on the day.
Fred Littmann won a countback from Brad Fawns and John James.
Outstanding shot of the day went to newcomer Annie Nisbett, with a hoop-in-one shot.
After this Sunday, competition play will cease for the Christmas break.
Play will resume in mid-January, following court maintenance.
