There’s something peculiar going on in the Murray Football League reserves competition at the moment.

A four-horse race of unbeaten sides heads the top of the table and, while that’s hardly uncommon in the grand scheme of things, one team is making things look a little too easy.
Put simply, Cobram is on a wrecking path in 2025.
The Tigers currently boast an eye-popping percentage of 2407.7 after three rounds, conceding just 13 points — yes, points, not goals — from their opening matches.
While its output of 44 goals across three games is hardly small on the scoring front, Cobram’s ability down the other end to deny opponents a sniff inside 50 is truly remarkable.
It’s also making the percentages of fellow unbeaten sides Congupna, Moama and Tongala (all more than 400) look paltry in comparison.
News photographer Rechelle Zammit was behind the lens to snap shots of Tongala’s 9.7 (61) to 7.3 (45) win over Nathalia in the reserves on Good Friday.
