Division 1 played out a 54-all draw against Moama, and managed to keep their place in fourth spot on the ladder.
Carly Crothers, Peter Todd, Dallas Kitchin and Jamie Shields (skip) were soundly beaten 11 shots to 22, while Simon Chisholm called the shots for Terry Boyer, Stuart Treble and Steve O’Brien on their way to a narrow three shot defeat, 17-20.
Shane Laing’s rink including Terry Taylor, John Flisher and Peter ‘Chief’ Chadderton got away to a flier early and never looked back in recording a commanding 26-12 victory, and just failed to secure the overall win.
Division 2 had a difficult day at the office when they were defeated on all three rinks by Moama.
The combination of Graham Nisbet, Andrew Holloway, Bruce Clancy and Craig Hillier (skip) had the best performance on the day when they went down, 20 shots to 25.
But Rob Morris’ side was beaten 10 shots to 19, while Steve King’s crew was thumped, 12 shots to 29.
Despite the comprehensive defeat, Division 2 are still clinging to fourth place on the ladder at the halfway mark of the season.
Division 3 scored a fighting five shot win when they triumphed over Rochester, 63 shots to 58.
Mark Law’s team of Ian McKenzie, Jeff Longstaff and Mike Donohue was trailing by three shots after six ends, but claimed a ‘six’ and a ‘three’ on the next two ends and went on with it from there to claim a comfortable victory, 26 shots to 18.
Ken ‘Titch’ Salter skipped his side including Dawn McCulloch, Craig Murray and John Murray, but couldn’t prevent the 17-23 defeat.
Tom Todd and his harem of Robyn Little, Helen Anderson and Maxine Norton were down by four shots with only four ends to play, but grabbed a ‘six’ on the next before running out 20-17 victors, and ensuring the overall five shot victory.
This division is not without a finals chance, although they will have to be a lot more consistent in the second half of the campaign.
Division 5 continued on their merry way when they scored a percentage boosting win against Rochester, 72 shots to 20.
Mick Atley, Matt Crothers, Keith Hay and Lloyd Ritchie (skip) led 12-nil after five ends and continued to pick up shots “for fun” on most ends thereafter, before recording a mammoth victory, 40 shots to 9.
It was a similar story on the other rink with Col Knuckey calling the shots for Bill Young, Winnie Pattinson and Tony King on their way to a big win, 32 shots to 11.
This team is sitting comfortably in third place on the ladder only a couple of points off top position, and would have to do plenty wrong from here not to feature in finals action.

The finals of both the men’s A-Grade singles and the club’s ladies singles were decided on Sunday.
Club president Steve O’Brien became the men’s champion when he proved to be too strong on the day for Rob Morris.
And Joanne Bovell, who was beaten in last year’s decider, went one better this time around when she claimed a hard-fought victory against Chris Taylor in the ladies’ final.
