The Demons got over the top of the Cats in the opening term, bagging eight goals in a one-sided showing, with LBU only managing to kick a single goal.
However, the Cats showed their claws in the second quarter, putting up four majors. Yet it was still not enough to catch White Hills, who kicked a further six goals, going up by 56 at half-time.
The Demons faltered in the third quarter, producing only a single goal, whereas LBU continued to improve, notching five goals to bring the difference down to 36 heading into the final period.
However, it wasn’t to be for the Cats as White Hills found their form once more, adding five goals to their total, while LBU could only squeeze out two more majors before the final siren.
White Hills ended up with 20.18 (138) to LBU’s 12.7 (79), in a good but ultimately one-sided affair.
The Cats will return home to face a strong, third-placed Heathcote Saints in round 11.
