Mitchell also won the A-grade trophy with net 70, on countback to Troy Grant. Sandford won C-grade with net 71, from runner-up Geoff Mulham 75. B-grade winner was Ron Friend net 71 from runner-up Wayne Pitts 72.
Last Thursday the ladies enjoyed a Christmas lunch, which was preceded by a 12 hole three-person ambrose event, played off the gold tees and including regular and beginner golfers. Winners were Prue Grant, Vicki Seely and Linda Brant, from runners-up Pauline Davis, Jan Lord and Pam Jarrett.
Wednesday’s A-grade stableford winner was Colin Drummond with 39 points on countback to George Willis, and B-grade winner was Bob Landy 39 from runner-up Rob Armytage 38.
Coming up we have a stableford event tomorrow, stableford again on Wednesday and Thursday, then versus par next Saturday.
The next major event is the Life Members Challenge on the Australia Day weekend, January 25 and 26. There will be three events and four grades, with an impressive $4125 in prize money. More details in coming weeks.
