The school entered three mixed teams. One competed in the Grade 6 mixed champions, another in the Grade 6 mixed section and a team in the Grade 5 mixed section.
The Grade 5 team, which had four Grade 4 students in it, played incredible netball throughout the day to go through undefeated and win its division.
Jasmine Watson and Logan Sparkes were unstoppable in goals, while Keeley Major's running through the centre was a highlight. Maddi Walker and Tilly Godden were reliable in the wings, while Lilli Withey and Aaliyah Pump competed ferociously in defence.
The Grade 6 mixed team who competed in the champions section had a brilliant day, making it all the way to the grand final.
Made up of Cale James, Darcey Pump, Tex Jones, Ameika White, Cadence Major, Lily Reid and Leah Toohill, the team ended the day second in their division, which qualified them for the semi-finals.
Coming up against Twin Rivers, the team played beautifully to score a 10-1 victory.
Ameika and Leah shot beautifully, Lily and Darcey were strong on the defensive end with their interceptions, while Cale, Cadence and Tex dominated the mid court to skilfully feed the ball into their shooters.
Coming up against a strong Echuca 208 team in the grand final, the team battled hard all game and were still a chance until late, though eventually were beaten by four goals.
The team remains a chance of qualifying for the regional finals in Swan Hill later in the month.
Rochester's second Grade 6 team also had a fantastic day in the mixed section. The team was made up of Nate Toohill, Ella Treacy, Evie Coghill, Jack Worlley Shotton, Mallee Jones, Lucia Hodder Ryan, Kayla Pascoe and Kylah Chamberlin.
The team combined well on the day to end up in third position.
Evie and Kayla were brilliant in goals and Lucia and Mallee impressed, no matter the position they played. Jack was another who got better as the day went on, while Nate worked incredibly hard and Ella played strong netball.
The school thanked Bec Pearse, Abbey Grey, Rachael Major and Virginia Toohill for their brilliant performance coaching the teams.
