The round 12 contest saw Cooma win the toss and send Rochester in to bat first.
Batting conditions proved difficult for the visitors, and Rochy found itself in early trouble at 2-4, Sienna Brennan striking twice in an over for Cooma.
In an overall disappointing innings, Harriet East (12) and Taya Munro (10) were the only Rochester batters to reach double-figures, wickets falling at regular intervals.
The visitor could only last 16 of its 20 overs, bowled out for 78, Brennan, Sophie McDonald and Allana Adams each taking two wickets for Cooma.
In response, Cooma’s openers set an effective platform for their chase.
Cathy Dervish and Ruby Harman combined well in a 37-run opening stand, before Trinity Hayler finally made a breakthrough for Rochester, dismissing Dervish.
Harman retired unbeaten on 20, giving Rochy a look at some new batters, but Sienna Brennan and Breanna Baker linked up to guide Cooma to the total with plenty of balls to spare.
Along with Hayler (1-10), Sarah Taylor was the other wicket-taker for Rochester.
Rochy will next travel to Katamatite on February 2 after taking the week off for Australia Day.
BLU vs Echuca
It wasn’t the Lions’ day as the reigning champion made short work of Bamawm-Lockington United in round 12.
Chloe Forster was the highlight of the BLU innings, making 14 and forming a useful partnership with Bree Styles.
However, once the pair departed, there was little batting left for BLU, even more so after Gillian Noelker ripped through the Lions with a hat-trick in the 15th over.
BLU was bowled out for just 47, Noelker’s trio of wickets supplemented by two from Chloe Moyle.
The Lions couldn’t make a breakthrough in what was a 10-over chase from Echuca, Noelker (23 retired not-out) and Kate Carlile (12 not-out) remaining steadfast as they reached the total.
BLU’s next assignment is hosting Nathalia on February 2.
