But in round 10 the Tigers finally returned to some winning ways, taking down Mansfield at Mansfield Recreation Reserve in round 10, 50-38.
With Teal Hocking still playing limited minutes, the Tigers started with Morgan Dingwall and Jarrenhy Webb in attack, and the pair held their own with Mansfield in the opening quarter.
An early Eagles run put them ahead 5-2 before a late Tigers surge saw them enter quarter-time down just one goal, 7-8.
The trend continued in the second quarter and the teams traded the upper hand for much of the period, before a three-goal burst in the final minute saw the Tigers hold a 21-19 lead going into half-time.
Hocking stepped on-court for the first time in the third and immediately made her presence felt.
As the third quarter wore on, Rochy began to pull away, and by the final break the Tigers had built a healthy eight-point advantage.
Eight of the first 10 scores in the fourth went the way of Hocking and Rochester, putting Mansfield out of the contest as the Tigers roared home to their first win in eight games.
Hocking finished with 25 goals in just two quarters, while Dingwall added 12 and Webb 13 to secure a much-needed victory.
Having arrested a seven-game losing slide, Rochester (3-7) now moves above Mansfield (2-8) and into ninth on the table.
Shepparton Swans (5-5) are the next challenge for the Tigers, with Rochy to host the clash next Saturday.
