Rochester A-grade co-coach Rachel Whipp has again made an impact on the representative stage.
After helping guide the GVL to victory in the interleague fixture with the Ovens and Murray, co-coaches Whipp and Ellie Warnock took the side to the Netball Victoria Association Championships finals day on Sunday, June 16.
Competing against associations from across the state, Whipp’s side of GVL all-stars proved to be one of the best in Victoria, scoring second place in the event.
The GVL was undefeated in the pool stage of the competition, winning all seven matches with an impressive percentage of 351.06.
The purple and gold then faced off with Bendigo Football Netball League in the semi-finals, where it scored a dominant 17-6 victory.
The win set up a finals showdown with Hampden Football Netball League, who was also undefeated.
In the end, Hampden escaped with the win 17-10, leaving the GVL in second place.
