An injury to Cobram’s Molly Kennedy came as a blow to the home side as the visitors piled on attack after attack.
Despite some promising link-ups between Roar skipper Alyssa Iannucci and Emma Reuss, Cobram struggled to come up with an answer to the Heart’s continued onslaught.
A strike off the boot of the Roar’s Laura Moras almost found the back of the net late in the second half, but the ball - along with any Roar hopes of a consolation goal - was knocked emphatically away by the Heart goalkeeper.
The final whistle saw the scoreline 4-nil to the visitors.
Despite the loss, Roar coach Manny Artavilla saw promising signs of progress from his young side.

“There are glimpses, but still, like I said, it’s a work in progress.”
