The Deniliquin Rhinos Under-13s Red team took on Berrigan last Thursday, in a tightly contested match, while the Under-13s White team put Strathmerton to the sword at home.

Both teams managed wins, and go in to this week’s round buoyed.
Reports for each team are as follows.
Under-13 Red
The Rhinos under-13 red team hosted Berrigan at home on Thursday evening.
Ben McDonald was captain this week. He won the toss and chose to bowl.
Berrigan were sent in to bat and made a total of 50 runs.
The wickets were spread across the team, with Charlie Eastman the only player taking two wickets.
The Rhinos kept the pressure on in the field throughout the innings, keeping the Berrigan run rate reasonably low.
The Rhinos’ batting innings saw the team in a lot of trouble at 8/34, chasing Berrigan’s 50 runs.
It was the steady partnership of Ben McDonald and Isaac Tub who saved the day.
They demonstrated excellent patience and good running between the wickets to secure the win.
The coach’s award this week went to Ben McDonald, and the bowling award went to Charlie Eastman.
The team travel to Strathmerton this Friday for an away game.
Under-13 White
Under-13 white played at home on Friday night, in round five, against Strathmerton Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs won the toss and sent the Rhinos in to bat.
Openers Jack Brown and Jacob Holschier faced some solid bowling attack and did well to both retire.
Fletcher Smith and Hunter Campbell continued with some good batting, and then Tom Marshall came to the crease and starred with the bat.
He hit a handy 21 runs off 15 balls, and found the boundary four times.
The Rhinos were travelling well and found themselves at 2-52 at the end of the 12th over.
Henry Campion and Tom Dudley came in and hit career high runs of nine and 10 respectively, and the Rhinos finished their innings off well at 5-99.
Hunter Campbell bowled a beautiful delivery to start off the Bulldogs innings and dismissed their main batter Ashtyn Speechly.
The Bulldogs’ next two batters put in a gutsy effort to make 22 runs off three overs, however Oliver Bramish was dismissed by wicket keeper Michael Benger following some great fielding work by Fletcher Smith and Jacob Holschier.
Connor Sampson was the next to strike, breaking the bails when he dismissed Caleb Gundrill in the 11th over.
The score was 3-30.
Tom Dudley and Fletcher Smith both claimed wickets in the 14th and 16th overs, and the Bulldogs finished their innings at 5-52.
The That Pizza award was given to Fletcher Smith this week, for his all round effort.
With the bat he made eight runs and retired not out, and had bowling figures of 1-1 off two overs. He also contributed when fielding.
