Wahgunyah Netball
A Grade
A Grade had to dig deep for the first game of the year with three injuries to the team, the five girls stood up and fought to come out winning by four goals.
Morgan, Taleaka, Codij, Tahli and Polly continued to work together through adversity.
A few girls in the lower grades stood up and played a strong role in A Grade’s win.
Tough win but mentally stronger for it.

B Grade
B Grade are a little unknown this year with the team coming together at the end of pre-season.
Combinations and fitness will be something the girls continue to work on.
The connections in attack on Saturday with Kaitlin, Shanae, Eden and Zoe are coming together with patience and talk on the court.
The defensive end of Elli, Haylee, Emily, Hayley and Toni set the tone for the year of our versatility. A fantastic first game, congratulations ladies.

With a side of 12 the 2025 season is looking solid for the under 13s.
With an amazing preseason and practise match lead by Sophie Ronnfeldt the girls went onto round one with heads high.
Nerves and excitement were high for the girls and coach as the game started. Slippery conditions required extra attention on passes and footwork.
With the mid court pulling together to create some lovely plays moving the ball up and down the court.
Defence worked hard to keep the scoring as low as possible while the shooters fought to bring the score up. Everyone worked together, communicated and listened to instructions.
Thank you to this week’s captains, Charolotte Wakefield and Ivy Collins.

It was a wet start to the season, but that didn’t stop the Under 11s girls they were all very excited to play and for some it was their first-ever game of netball. It was a very close game and at half time the girls were up by one goal (4-3), but unfortunately, we by one, the final score was 8-9. The girls all played very well as a team and are all looking forward to next weeks against Dederang-Mt Beauty.
Best: Audrey-Donut King, Natasha-Canteen , Jordi-Hungry Jacks.
